Sikkim:

Sikkim is a small Himalayan state of India in the eastern Himalayas surrounded by China and Tibet in the north. With a population 5,40,000 people its rich culture of mixed ethnic gorups of Lepchas, Bhutias, Limbus and Tibetans makes your visit a remarkable experience in your life.  Kanchenjunga the world third highest peak which many of Sikkimese revered as the guardian deity attracts many thousand number of people each year from around the world. Apart from it Chanju lake attrats many visitors when the lake is frozen specially during the winters. You will find many monastries , and a sense of peace and tranquility . Most rare and unique orchid flower are found here . Sikkim is a multilingual, multi religious and multicultural state. 

Darjeeling:

Darjeeling is a famouse hill station which was once colonized by the British.  It lies in norther part of  Indian stare of West Bengal. Also famous for it's natural beauty and vast stretches of lush green tea gardens, and only Himalayan Railway, known to the locals as the Toy Train, is now a world heritage which was listed in by the UNESCO in 1999. Riding on this train almost 88 km is not that faster way to get to Darjeeling from New Jalpaiguri but indeed a life time experience. The railway one the way to Darjeeling at Ghoom (2438m) is one of highest railway station in the world.

Among the major tourist attractions in the Darjeeling city, the most important is the Tiger Hill. It is situated about 2590 m and gives a splendid of the sunrise over Kanchanjunga. Mount Everest, the worlds highest peak is clearly visible from the Tiger Hill. Another important place to  visit in the city is the Rock Garden and Ganga Maya Park. These parks are located about 10 km from the town and have developed into wonderful picnic spot.

The place has a scenic beauty and one can walk down to the Darjeeling Mall from here . Other important places in the city include the Ava Art Gallery, Mall, Batasia loop, Lloyd Botanical Garden, Nightingale park, Darjeeling-Rangit Valley Passenger Cable Car popularly called the ropeway, observatory hills, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the monasteries to name a few. One can also visit places around Darjeeling like Kalimpong, Kurseong, and Mirik.

How to reach...

By Air:  From Kathmandu, take the one hour flight to Bhadrapur (the nearest Nepalese airport to Darjeeling), drive to Kakarvitta (Nepal/Indian boarder 34km), to Silguri (36km) and to Darjeeling (77 km, about 2 ½ hrs drive).

By Road: Darjeeling is also connected by road with Sikkim (120km) and Bhutan (200km). Darjeeling is about 90 km from Bagdogra, the nearest airport, where schedule flights operate from New Delhi, Calcutta and Guwahati

By Rail: The nearest rail heads are Siliguri and New Jalpaiguri (88km) which are connected to Calcutta, New Delhi, Guwahati and other major cities in India.

Itinerary

Day 1:From Kathmandu, take the one hour flight to Bhadrapur (the nearest Nepalese airport to Darjeeling), drive to Kakarvitta (Nepal/Indian boarder 34km), to Silguri (36km) and to Darjeeling (77 km, about 2 ½ hrs drive). Transfer to Darjeeling /afternoon sightseeing : Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock.  Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 2: Full day sightseeing  in Darjeeling-includes . Morning 4-5 AM proceed to Tiger Hill for the breath taking sunrise view and the reflection of beautiful rays of colour overthe Kahnchanjunga range. After the sunrise go to hotel for Breakfast. Full day sightseeing wil start from 7 AM. to  Tea Garden (outer view) and Japanese Temple (4 hrs from 9.00 to 13.00 hrs). RopewayBatasia Loop, War Memorial, Ghoom Monastery, Tenzing rock,  Tea Garden (Rangeet valley). Tsangu Lake, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok and Tashi view point.

Day 3: After breakfast transfer to Gangtok (Capital of Sikkim) 5600ft , a beautiful hill town via Teesta river valley reach Gangtok. Check in at the hotel and enjoy your lunch . After lunch , the guide will take you  to enjoy Gangtok's local sightseeing places which includes Banjhakri waterfalls ,and Garden, Chorten Stupa, Tibetology, Ropeway ride (Cable car), Flower show and Sikkim Handicraft. And later back to the hotel , overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 4: After breakfast, start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake which is located 12,400 ft and the actual name of the Tsomgo lake is TSOGO , meaning above the lake given by the yak herders , who in one time use to dwell above the lake . The lake is situated very close to the kyongnosla alpine sanctuary and falls in the sub alpine zone . The lake lies in a depression and is surrounded by high rocky cliffs on both sides. The lake is frozen during the winters and many tourist flock to experience the frozen lake and its surroundings and local people visit to worship during Guru Purnima . Tsomgo lake is 35 kms from Gangtok . Next stop is Baba Mandir which is located at 13,200 ft, which is 60 kms one way from Gangtok city. Baba Mandir lies between the Nathula and Jelep la- pass was built in the memory of Sepoy Harbhajan Singh of 23rd Punjab regiment . Today it is a place of pilgrimage for the service personal as well as the civilians and the tourist. Overnight stay at Gangtok. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing).

Day 5: After breakfast drive for Bagdogra. Arrive Bagdogra and depart to next destination.
