Overview

You will be trekking in one of the most beautiful wilderness with alpine forest and glacial lakes in Tibet . You will reach Kangshung valley , the East face of Everest over the ridges and Trails navigating between Lhasa and Kathmandu, off Road to Rongbuk, the Valley beneath the Stunning North face of Mount Everest . After arriving in Kathmandu you will begin your holiday with guided sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley visiting major heritage sites and experience new culture and tanalising your taste bud with Nepali cuisine. Flying from Kathmandu to Lhasa is stunningly beautiful . You are required to spend at least 3 days for the necessary acclimatization enjoying the fascinating Lhasa. Trails navigating between Lhasa and Kathmandu, off Road to Rongbuk, the Valley beneath the Stunning North face of Mount Everest and the Everest Base Camp (5200m) is beyond comparison 

Potala Palace was built in 1645 and completed in 1693. It dominates the landscape in Lhasa. The palace is the former winter residence of the Dalai Lama. It used to be the official residence of 13 Dalai Lamas. The magnificent building has over 1000 rooms. Inside there are many chambers; you can see brilliant frescoes paintings and great view of Lhasa.

Jokhangtemple has valuable relics of Buddha and magnificent statues related to Tibet Buddhism. Often you come across devotees, who have come from far flung of Tibet, prostrating in and around. The sight of pilgrims prostrating themselves in front of Jhokang must be seen to be comprehended. This is something you can never see elsewhere. Jokhan temple in Lhasa is the spiritual center of Tibet where in the summer nomads meet other pilgrims on their way to the high pasture.

Tashilhunpo Monastery was founded in 1447 by the 1st Dalai Lama. It is a historic and culturally important monastery in Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel (BB)

Day 02: In Kathmandu- guided sightseeing tour of Patan, Swyambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square

Day 03: Fly KTM/LXA. Transfer to Hotel. O/n at New Mandala Hotel or Gorkha hotel or Similar

Day 4: In Lhasa Sightseeing Tour to Potala Palace, Jhokong temple and Barkhuo bazaar (BB):
In the morning we visit Potala Palace (seat of Dalai Lama). Potala Palace is a magnificent white, black, red and gold palace; it dominates the skyline of Lhasa. The palace used to be winter home of the Dalai Lama. It has jewel, encrusted gold and silver stupas of previous Dalai Lamas. There are numerous grand state rooms and many important chapels. There has been a palace on this site since the 5th century but the present palace was constructed in the 17th century.

Next we visit Jhokang temple and Barkhuo bazaar. Jokhang is the holiest temple in Tibet that shelter the sacred Jowo Sakyamuni statue. The pilgrims, smell of butter lamps in the air, statues of Gods in hidden annexes, and the procession of devout Tibetans through the complex are intriguing sight around Jokhang. First we walk around the holy inner circle and then make a complete circuit of the Barkor – the market that surround Jokhang. It is the best place to shop everything that are Tibetan.

Day 05: In Lhasa - Sightseeing tour of Potala palace and Jokhang Temple. O/n hotel

Day 06: Drive to Shigatse. Visit Tashilongpu Monastery. O/n at Mansarovar hotel or Wutsu Hotel or similar

Day 07: Drive to Kharta via Pang La. O/n camp

Day 08: Trek to the village of Landrubling. O/n camp

Day 09: Trek below the Shao La. O/n camp

Day 10: Cross Shao La and trek to above the Karma Tsangpo. O/n camp

Day 11: Trek through juniper forest via herders camps, cross a ridge to camp. O/n camp

Day 12: Trek to Langma La, camp on a meadow site at Pethang Ringmo. O/n camp

Day 13: Spare day at Pethang Ringmo. O/n camp

Day 14: Trek to the lake of Shurim Tso, below the Langma La. O/n camp

Day 15: Cross Langma La and trek to Landrubling. O/n camp

Day 16: Trek to Kharta & drive to Zhangmu. O/n at Zhangmu hotel or Cai Yuan Hotel

Day 17: Drive from Zhangmu to Kathmandu, tranfer to hotel . In Kathmandu

Day 18: Transfer to airport, depart Kathmandu
